The health and safety of our employees, customers and partners are paramount, which is why we at Seabourne Group closely monitor developments around the Corona virus.
We follow the general guidelines and instructions of the government and other authorities. Although the chance of bacteria and viruses being transmitted is minimal through our packages, scanners or tablets, we can understand the increasing concerns among our recipients. Of course we want to ensure that the packages are delivered correctly. The movement of goods is still open and without any restrictions. Seabourne and his partners operates therefore still as business as usual. Please be advised that we hear more and more that crossing borders will be a challenge.
Consignees will not be required to personally sign the ePOD device or hard copy document, but will be required to provide their name verbally to the delivery driver whereby the driver will include this on the delivery record. Whereby a customer refuses to provide their name, the consignment will not be left with them but fall under the ‘refused goods’ process.
Seabourne Group are delighted to announce the latest addition to the Group’s portfolio. Today, Custom Threads 2015 Limited, set up as a 100% owned Group subsidiary, acquired the goodwill and certain assets of an existing embroidery and clothing printing business in Basingstoke. A strategic addition to the Group’s range of services, it dovetails with the Supply Chain & Solutions services we provide and will enable Seabourne to offer to the clothing sector, additional bespoke services over and above the basic storage requirements.
In making the acquisition, Seabourne welcomes Bob Bailey to the Group. Bob has many years of experience within the industry and is looking forward to the opportunities afforded by the Group to develop the client base and increase the services offered.
To store and distribute your goods in the EU, Limited Fiscal Representation is easy and compliant to implement. No VAT registration or invoicing is needed so that you can realise a liquidity and cost advantage in you supply chain. Seabourne Group developed in cooperation with MACO an animation video to explain the fiscal representation. Check out this video, click here.
As well as focusing on the expansion of Seabourne, Sir Clive Bourne also dedicated a lot of time to community projects. The creation of Mossbourne Academy in 2004 was the beginning of an ongoing commitment to raising educational achievement in Hackney. Built on the site of Hackney Downs boys’ school, the academy has achieved Ofsted’s rating of ‘outstanding’, and has seen students achieve places in high ranking universities such as Cambridge. Lady Joy Bourne was involved in the planning of the school with Sir Clive Bourne, and still takes an active role in the school’s development as a governor. Check out this video, click here to view.
